Caroline Yang Photo Exhibition of Tour de France Starts this Weekend
Minnesota based photographer Caroline Yang is bringing a two-month-long photo exhibition to Grand Central Cafe. Yang, who specializes in documentary photography, covered the Tour de France from 2004 to 2006 (in 2006 her work was featured in the Sports Illustrated - "Best Photos of the Year" edition); her images capturing the Tour's alluring landscapes, exasperated cyclists and adoring crowds will be hanging in the St. Paul cafe until mid September.
Grand Central (which is the partner restaurant of the adjacent Shish, A Mediterranean Grill & Cafe) opened on Grand Avenue last year to a flurry of positive reviews and serves a wide and delicious selection of coffee, food and alcoholic beverages. The photo exhibition should be a great test for the beautifully designed interior of the cafe as a venue for artists looking to display work (though I'm sure it will do wonderfully).

The show opening for Yang's 10 year anniversary of her Tour de France collection will occur this Saturday. So head on over to St. Paul and get cultured!
