'Cinema in the Sand' at Valleyfair

Last month, Valleyfair hosted a legion of food trucks containing a wide variety of morsels and delicacies from all over Minnesota. The Food Truck Frenzy was a big hit and may well become an annual tradition. In July and August, everyone's favorite local amusement park is at it again, providing more memorable entertainment options for the whole family. They're calling it 'Cinema in the Sand' and you don't want to miss out. On Friday, July 18th, Valleyfair will be showing the hilarious hit Despicable Me, and on August 15th, the film de jour will be the wildly popular The Lego Movie. Both movies received critical acclaim (proof here and here), are much better than Tammy, and are clearly targeted to entertain both adults and kids alike. 'Cinema in the Sand' movies are shown inside Valleyfair's Soak City Waterpark with seating available in the brand new sand volleyball area. Movies begin at 9 pm (or dark) and the sandy seating is on a first come, first serve basis. A sunny day riding the rides (and eating the food) at Valleyfair, followed by a funny movie under the stars with your toes in the sand, try to think of a better way to spend a summer day and evening with your kids.
