'Cultivate Festival' Serves Up Artisan Food and Live Music

Chipotle Cultivate Festival

Chipotle's Cultivate Festival brings two of Minneapolis' favorite things, food and music,  to Loring Park for a free, all-day event on Saturday. The day features live music, chef demonstrations and plenty of food and drinks to sample. The Music kicks off at 12:45 p.m. and continues all day with performances by Hunter Hunted, Vintage Trouble, The Mowgli's, GROUPLOVE and Portugal. The Man.

The first chef demonstrations begin at 11 a.m. with Jack Riebel and continue all day with Paul Berglund, Erik Anderson, Jamie Malone, Amanda Freitag and Andrew Zimmern. If you're interested in both the cooking and the music, don't worry, the bands' and chefs' performances are spaced perfectly so you can see every one. Chipotle will feature food from its restaurant all made with responsibly grown food from local farms. Additionally, there will be the Artisan's Hall where visitors can sample and buy food from regional shops Nikkolette's Macarons, Bare Honey, Patisserie 46, Philia Foods, Rustica Bakery and Seven Sundays All Natural Gourmet Muesli. To drink it all down there will be a tasting hall where you can sample craft beers and sustainable wines. The festival is a family-friendly event and features a kids' zone to keep everyone entertained. The kids' zone includes T-shirt painting, a cotton pit, pot decorating and interactive chalkboards. So whether you go for the food, the music or the free entertainment, Cultivate has something for everyone.   Photos via: Soorena Salari II -- musicisentropy
