Winter seems to be fighting back, so its time to double down our Minnesota optimism and soak up some sun. The final indoor (greenhouse) Kingfield and Fulton Farmers Market of the year will be taking place at Bachman's on Lyndale this Saturday (March 22) from 9 am to 2 pm.
Some of the usual suspects (mentioned in my past review) of the market will be returning: Patisserie 46, Sun Street Breads, Wise Acre and of course Fulton Beer (this time with hard cider and wine options). There will even be a presentation and book signing by local food writer Tricia Cornell at 10 am in the Heritage Room of Bachman's (adjacent to the greenhouse where the market will be). As far as music is concerned, from 9 am to 11 am you can enjoy the uniquely traditional Bob and Lynn Dixon -- then from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm be sure to catch the enchanting voices of Lingua Luna.
So stop despairing about the weather and pretend like spring is here for the taking! I'd recommend making a list and leaving some space for notes, because you will likely be learning about the food you are buying.
