LakeFront Music Festival Kicks Off Friday

Heading into its 5th year, the LakeFront Music Festival is back in action this weekend in Prior Lake. Put on the Prior Lake Rotary Club as a fundraising event, this festival is not just your average concert series with a bunch of local bands turning up their amps and guitars for a few weary-eyed bar patrons -- this music festival is the real deal, an all out spectacle, and is set up right on the shore of Lower Prior Lake. This growing music festival is set to host The Fray, Kat Perkins, David Nail, Billy Currington and more -- like I said, not just a lineup of dodgy local bands. Friday night kicks off with "Rock Night" and Saturday wraps up with "Country Night." The event isn't necessarily "family friendly" because there are no specific events for children, but if you have kids under 13 who love music, they get admission for free (but they must be accompanied by an adult). Tickets are $30 for the weekend, and you can check out as many of the bands as you'd like. There will be food and drink on site and shuttle services in and out of the park both nights. Doors to the event open at 5:00pm, with three acts playing each night. More info for tickets can be found here. Now you just need to plan your trip to Prior Lake on one or both weekend nights.   Photos by: Adam's Travel Photography
