Lakefront Music Fest Brings Suburbs to Main Stage

Lakefront music fest What started as a local suburban event has turned into one of the largest outdoor music festivals in the Twin Cities. The Lakefront Music Fest is two full nights of music: one night devoted to country, the other to classic rock. It takes place this weekend, on Friday the 18th and Saturday the 19th. Last year, when Bret Michaels and Montgomery Gentry took the stage, more than 20,000 people were in attendance. Lakefront music fest - blues traveler The music festival kicks off with its classic rock night on Friday at 5 p.m. The line-up is as follows: 7 p.m. - Sugar Ray 8:05 p.m. - Uncle Kracker 9:10 p.m. - Smash Mouth 10:15 p.m. - Blues Traveler Lakefront music fest - Trace Adkins Saturday night is the country night. Gates open at 3:30 p.m. See the line-up below: 4:50 p.m. - The Jason Paulson Band 6:05 p.m. - LoCash Cowboys 7:50 p.m. - Maggie Rose 9:40 p.m. - Trace Adkins If you buy tickets in advance, you can get into both nights for $20.
