Man Charged With Killing Adrian Peterson's Son Out on Bail

Joseph Patterson - Allegedly Kills Adrian Peterson's Son On Monday, the bond for Joseph Patterson, the man charged with killing Adrian Peterson's two year-old son, was reduced to $750,000 -- today the Minnehaha County Jail in Sioux Falls is reporting Patterson is no longer being held there. It has been reported that Patterson's family posted for his release to allow the charged North Dakota man to go home. Patterson's attorney, Tim Rensch, confirmed the release and states his client intends to stay in the area to fight the charges. Patterson is charged with second-degree murder, manslaughter, aggravated assault and aggravated battery for the death of Adrian Peterson's estranged son, Tyrese Robert Ruffin. Patterson is the boyfriend of Adrian Peterson's baby's momma and an apparent degenerate with a history of abuse (he pled guilty to domestic assault just last year). The fact that he is fighting this case sickens me -- from most reports, it appears the guy is pretty much dead to rights (though his lawyer states the evidence against his client is circumstantial)  -- instead of owning up to his crime, he'll probably claim insanity or try to find some loophole in the justice system. If he really is guilty of what he is charged with, I hope he gets a nice long jail sentence with some very unfriendly convicts. How anyone could ever beat a two year-old, much less beat him to death, is beyond me. And with Patterson's alleged history of abuse, this doesn't appear to be an isolated event.
