Minnesota United FC to Hold VIP Event

Minnesota United VIP Minnesota United FC has hyped up a mysterious free VIP event for Aug. 19, concerning the team's move to MLS. Today, registered fans will meet from 5:00 - 9:30 p.m. at the Historic Union Depot in St. Paul. Though we've known about the MLS move since March 2015, the beginning is drawing near, as evidenced by the team's event video below and the team's marketing hashtag #NextStopMLS. The City of St. Paul will soon approve the plans for the new soccer stadium, but the team will need a temporary home until its completion. Though Minnesota was originally poised to join MLS in 2018, possibly with a new name, it is more likely than ever to begin MLS play in 2017.
"Trust us, you're going to want to be a VIP at our party," the team page says.
Despite the lack of information surrounding the event, those who would like to register can do so on the team's website. You can catch the fourth-placed (combined standings) United take on FC Edmonton Aug. 14 on MY29. Minnesota's next home game is Aug. 17 against the Tampa Bay Rowdies, which also happens to be Zubaz hat night. Can't go wrong with that.   Image courtesy of: Minnesota United
