Minnesota is teaming with creative talent, with history showing that our wonderful state has the ability to produce artists like Prince, sculptor Duane Hansen, and Bob Dylan. Artists like this are still being produced in Minnesota, and one of these talents is Kendra Boblett of KWB Art. Kendra’s art is whimsically stylistic, colorful, and often biographical, giving viewers a glimpse into the artist’s world, her personality, and her struggles. Kendra has been an artist all through school, developing and nurturing her unique style both here in her home in Minnesota as well as in Seattle, WA.
I connected with Kendra to get the scoop...!--more-->

The Minnesota Vikings are in the NFL playoffs for the first time since the 2012 season after trouncing the New York Giants 49-17 on a cold Sunday night at TCF Bank stadium. With a record of 10-5 on the season, the Vikings are headed to Green Bay to take on the Packers, who are also 10-5 after they were destroyed by the Arizona Cardinals 38-8 on Sunday afternoon.
The winner of the matchup at Lambeau Field, which has been flexed to Sunday night, wins the NFC North Division. The Vikings last won their division in 2009. If the Vikings don’t win their division, they could be the fifth or sixth seed in the NFC Playoffs. Let’s take a look at the playoff scenarios.

Not to be
outdone by Oman Oman, a Minnesota mom made a miracle shot this week, earning $4,000 off her daughter's tuition.
Angela Ramey and her daughter Grace were the top performers in a recent fundraiser at Bethany Academy in Bloomington. As a reward, the school gave Angela three tries at a half-court basketball shot to provide her daughter a 50% discount off next year's $8,000 tuition charge.
Angela missed the first shot. And the second.

When I saw
Star Wars: The Force Awakens at an early Tuesday screening, I was overcome with a rush of emotions when the first note of the John Williams score erupted to open the iconic yellow Star Wars scroll. I couldn't believe I was watching another Star Wars movie -- I can still remember forever ago when the announcement of a new chapter broke -- and here I was, actually watching Episode 7. I promise this review will not contain any plot details or spoilers about the film -- I'm not
that guy.
The past couple of days have been pretty "tough" for me not being able to say anything...
“Surround yourself with those who challenge you, push you, and motivate you”
Motivation — it is something we all want to have, but something that can easily evade us! Motivation is like a muscle, and you need to practice strengthening it through a regular routine. Whatever your daily ritual is, make sure it encourages you to stay committed to your goals. Sounds easier said than done right? However, if you have a clear visualization of the specific things you are working toward you will be able to successfully ignite that motivation within to stay on track! Try using these five ways to stay motivated.

The defending champion Golden State Warriors have started the 2015-16 NBA regular season with a record 23 straight wins. They have 27 consecutive regular season victories dating back to last season, leaving them just six short of the all-time record of 33, set by the 1971-72 Lakers. Many believe this Warriors squad could challenge Jordan's 1995-96 Chicago Bulls record of 72-10 to achieve the winningest regular season in NBA history.
Golden State's leader, 27 year-old phenom Steph Curry, is flat out dominating. Curry is in the midst of one of the most statistically unprecedented regular season stretches...!--more-->

The Vikings' Blair Wlash made a game-tying field goal as time expired in regulation...
While Thursday night's game against the Cardinals ended in
typical Vikings heartache, it started with a clever skit involving two high profile government officials.
Arizona Senator John McCain and our very own Senator Al Franken joined Bob Schieffer to parody a segment of

The Austin boys high school basketball team stayed unbeaten thanks to a highly improbable, buzzer-beating, full court shot in Northfield on Tuesday night.
With just 1.6 seconds remaining in the game, Austin trailed the Northfield Raiders by 56-54. And then, like something from out of an unrealistic sports movie, Junior Oman Oman from Austin rebounded a missed Northfield free throw, and unleashed an 80-foot prayer that found the bottom of the net just as the final horn sounded.
Austin won the game 57-56. And fortunately for us all, a cell phone camera of Oman's miracle bucket (and the ensuing bedlam) made it to...!--more-->

On Monday, Donald Trump proposed blocking all Muslims from entering the U.S. for an indefinite period of time.
This proposal was almost universally criticized or condemned by every imaginable figure spanning the entire U.S. political spectrum from Bernie Sanders to Hillary Clinton to Paul Ryan to Dick Cheney. The White House said Trump’s statement “disqualifies” him from being President. Representatives from all over the world also weighed in to chastise the leading Republican Presidential candidate for what many view as dangerous and provocative rhetoric.
Despite the nearly total negative global backlash, "Teflon Don"...!--more-->

Sunday’s 38-7 drubbing at the hands of the
almost-back-to-back-champion Seahawks made clear to most rational people what the cynics (like me) were already suspecting: The 2015 Vikings are probably not contenders. They are paper tigers. Purple pretenders.
It’s not that they lost. It’s that they were completely outclassed. At every aspect of football. For a full 60 minutes. At home.
In retrospect, after 12 games, it actually seems pretty clear. Despite their solid 8-4...!--more-->
