New Exhibit at Minnesota Museum of American Art Set to Open

Minnesota Museum of American Art - Objects Exhibit - 2014

The Minnesota Museum of American Art will unveil a new exhibit Thursday, Feb. 6 which is drawn from its permanent collection and features 50 pieces by 50 artists along with the work of five contemporary artists. “OBJECTS: MMAA,” as the exhibit is being called, was inspired by a 1970s exhibit also featured at the art museum, located at 332 N. Robert St. in St. Paul. The exhibition focuses on the artistic debate about the line between art and craft, according to the MMMA site.

Thursday’s public opening will begin at 7 p.m. and feature live music performed by McNally Smith College of Music alum and violinist David Sutton.
