'St. Paul Summer Beer Fest' Just Around the Corner!
Arguably the best beer festival in the state in terms of beverage, music and miscellaneous factors, the 6th annual St. Paul Summer Beer Fest should not be turned down lightly. With the official list of breweries just released, if you haven't made plans... it's time!
I won't go into all the embarrassing details about my past few years at the Fest, but in short: I had a great time. The afternoon long party simply sells itself; attendees always return every June (perhaps with a few more friends in tow).
When: Saturday June 7th (2014) from 2-6 pm (1 pm if you get VIP tickets). Get there early, there's usually a HUGE line.
Where: At the International Bazaar of the Minnesota State Fairgrounds (basically the southeast corner of the fairgrounds).
Cost: $60 for VIP tickets, $40 General Admission, $10 for Designated Driver tickets. More info on these tickets and where to get them here.
What to do: Sample beer, listen to music, learn about community websites associated with beer and of course enjoy educational opportunities about local breweries and beer.
How to get there: Don't drive, take the bus! There are a ton of buses that run nearby, just check Metro Transit.
I should also note that there will be plenty of local breweries, but also many craft breweries from around the US. It's really difficult to take notes with so much beer, but it's totally worth trying!
