Stone Arch Bridge Festival is on the Horizon

stone-arch-bridge-festival The Stone Arch Bridge Festival in Minneapolis is coming up! Held in one of Minneapolis's most beautiful parts of town is the annual festival with a weekend filled with live local music, arts, shows, beer and wine gardens, and food. This event is fit for all Minnesotans who share the common love of summers spent outside enjoying communal activities. This year the Stone Arch Bridge Festival is held Saturday June 14th, and Sunday June 15th. There will be a "kickoff concert" held Friday the 13th at 7 pm, with the gates opening at 6 pm. On Saturday visitors can check out art booths and music starting at 10 am. The art booths will close at 5 pm, but music goes on until 10 pm. Sunday's schedule also starts art and music at 10 am with the event closing at 5 pm. The festival is sponsored by Polaris, and rightfully so, they will be raffling a youth size ATV. All proceeds will be donated to Shriners Hospital for Children. Art booths are held in the family activities area -- activities include face painting, bird house designing, picture taking, and much more. There will be three separate stages for concerts. Father Hennepin Stage (Star Tribune Stage), the Water Park Stage (Cities 97 Stage), and the Bridge Stage (Central Ave/ City Pages Stage). Altogether there will be over 250 performances. Plenty of activities, plenty of music, plenty of vendors, that sounds like a recipe for success -- and there is no cost to get in! Great weekend with the family especially if you are still looking for a way to spend Father's Day. Leashed dads dogs welcome.   Images via: Stone Arch Bridge Festival
