
If there's one thing we love in Minnesota, it's the great outdoors. With more about 75
state parks, we have lots of ways to get out and explore. Now the Minnesota Zoo is creating another opportunity to experience the great outdoors, specifically for kids.

Como Park Zoo and Conservatory's free concert series
Groovin' in the Gardens started this week. The event is a series of concerts that take place every Thursday at 6 pm from June 18 until August 6. The weekly concerts are held on the Visitor Center lawn at Como and feature local Twin Cities bands.
The series is kids-friendly, with plenty of activities accompanying the concert. These include a climbing wall, bouncy house and lawn games. Food, ice cream, beer and wine will also be available.
The series kicked off on Thursday with rock and blues performers Crankshaft and the Gear Grinders. The full summer line-up is:

There's a goose roast going on in Minnesota and the whole world is invited. Not a real goose of course, it's totally figurative. For we, as a people, are undertaking the prolonged and laborious effort of explaining what seems like common sense to us, but comprises a mind-blowing revelation for those outside our borders. What revelation you ask? That the game "Duck, Duck, Gray (or Grey) Duck" is decidedly more awesome (and beneficial) than "Duck, Duck, Goose."
