Obscured amid the chaos of the world shutting down, emerge the barely-perceptible buds and blossoms of a remarkable turnaround. In his short 14 month tenure, Minnesota Timberwolves President Gersson Rosas has made a Turkish bazaar look sedate. He has wheeled and dealed the downtrodden franchise into a promising and even enviable position for next year.
When Rosas arrived, the Wolves were mired in salary cap hell, a mere $3 million short of the luxury tax. A very informative analysis by Dane Moore displayed...

Last year, Golden State Warrior superstar Steph Curry launched an individual offensive display of historical significance, making 402 3-point field goals during the regular season while shooting a highly accurate 45.4% from behind the arc. This total bested the previous record (set by Curry the year before) by a remarkable 116 and really is a ridiculous outlier stat no matter how you look at it.
While Curry's regular season exploits in 2015-16 were phenomenal enough for some little website in Minnesota to notice and write about it, another Western...!--more-->

Going into the draft Thursday, it was basically a lock that the Timberwolves were going to select Karl-Anthony Towns with the first number one overall selection in Minnesota basketball history.
This certainty came after months of speculation that ...

The NBA held its draft lottery Tuesday night and the Minnesota Timberwolves came away with the top pick of the 2015 draft. This marks the first time in franchise history that the team would be making the first selection in the NBA Draft. The pick comes in another deep draft class, which should bring in another good player to pair with the last two first-overall picks and other lottery selections in the past few drafts.
The Wolves "won" the best chance (25%) of winning the first selection of the draft after a 16-66 record this past season (that's a lot of losing). It has been ...!--more-->

Even with the Wild in the midst of an unprecedented surge, Kevin Garnett's return dominated Minnesota sports headlines last week.
A video released by the Timberwolves' Youtube channel this past Friday captures the nostalgic joy that filled the Target Center during Wednesday night's re-debut of KG against the Washington Wizards..
Even if you don't care about Kevin Garnett, the Timberwolves...or basketball in general, the video is sure to make you smile.
Garnett apparently...!--more-->

After one of the craziest trade deadline days ever in the NBA (over 8% of the league was traded), the Timberwolves came away with one extremely familiar face: Da Kid, The Franchise, The Big Ticket, KG, Kevin Garnett.
Chase Budinger, Kevin Martin and recently acquired guard Gary Neal (who may yet be ...!--more-->

In an unsurprising move, the Timberwolves (5-19) have traded away small forward and former first-round pick Corey Brewer for the second time, as first reported by Yahoo Sports' Adrian Wojnarowski.
Brewer has been with the team since last season, in which he recorded a career-high and franchise record-tying 51 points against the same Houston Rockets (19-6) he will now be suiting up for. The Rockets reportedly gave up 6-foot-4 shooting guard Troy Daniels...!--more-->

Timberwolves fans collectively rejoiced this afternoon when the organization announced they reached a five-year, $60 million deal with budding center Nikola Pekovic. While the Wolves have been down in terms of team success over the past nine years, Pekovic is widely considered one of the better centers in the NBA and clearly represents a crucial piece to the team building long-term success.
This news is welcome for all Wolves fans, as the free-agent Pekovic and the team took six weeks to hammer out an agreement. Many were worried Pekovic would flee the team in free agency to a more...!--more-->
