'The Haunted Basement' at The Soap Factory Will Induce Terror

The Soap Factory in Minneapolis is well-known for being the best spot in the Twin Cities to get the pants scared off you -- I personally will never step foot anywhere near there, I quite like my pants thank you. But I personally know so many, my sister included, who love to get terrorized by nightmarish figures and experiences. As Halloween nears, the time to experience this terror fest is now -- though tickets are unfortunately already sold out (see their website for more details). So this post is more of recommendation to keep this event in mind for next year, to get tickets early, because The Soap Factory is obviously doing something right. The Haunted Basement is in its seventh year at The Soap Factory, an exhibit of sorts meant to give those terror seekers exactly what they want: a chance to get the living hell scared out of them. From all personal accounts I've heard, this experience is unlike any haunted hayride or terror trail that dots the landscape come Halloween. The Soap Factory website even warns:

You will encounter: FOG – DUST – MOLD – SMELLS – INSECTS – STROBE LIGHTS – COMPLETE DARKNESS – CRAWLING – STAIRS – SEXUAL SITUATIONS – LOUD NOISES – WATER – LATEX – ALLERGENS - CLAUSTROPHOBIC SITUATIONS – PHYSICAL CONTACT – PTSD TRIGGERS and VIOLENT SITUATIONS

From what I've heard, this is the place to get terrified. While this year it seems you are out of luck if you don't already have tickets, it's a good idea to keep The Soap Factory on your radar for next season to ensure you can experience all the frights and chills that this Haunted Basement brings. Or, maybe you can salvage some tickets from Craigslist, etc. Although you'll never find me at The Soap Factory, by all means it looks like a scene straight out of a good horror flick.
