If you have ever been intrigued to check out The Walker Art Center, or have been waiting to plan a return trip, right now might be the time to visit the Minneapolis icon. From now until September 21st the art center is offering free admission to their featured galleries. Now you just need to figure out which day you are going to go right?
Though the free admission is extremely appealing, the museum is in a bit of a transition period. The Barnes building is currently under construction and will be closed for the next month -- this means that many galleries are not open to the public. However, this closure also allows the "Claes Oldenburg: The Sixties" exhibit to be readied for its September 21st opening.
Despite this area being closed off, there are still a lot to experience, like exhibits: "Fritz Haeg: At Home in the City," "9 Artists," "Abraham Cruzvillegas: The Autoconstruccion Suites," and "Painter Painter."
Get out and enjoy The Walker Art Center -- and don't forget to give their
unique mini-golf course a peak.
