'Twin Cities Jazz Festival' Expects 30,000+ People to Come Enjoy Jazz Music

Twin Cities Jazz Festival is one of the Upper Midwest’s biggest (and FREE) events with over 30,000 attendees with a mission to preserve the love of jazz music. The Twin Cities Jazz Festival is held in Saint Paul’s downtown area: Lowertown, in Mears Park. The show starts Thursday night, June 26th, at 6:00 pm. On Friday it starts at 4:00 pm and on Saturday at 2:00 pm. Although many musicians will play, expect shows from the headliners: Grammy and Tony award winner Branford Marsalis, four time Grammy winner Dianne Reeves, Melissa Aldana, and Joe Krown. tc jazz festival - 2014 Didn’t recogonize any of those names? No worries. Executive Director Steve Heckler insists you’ll enjoy your time at the festival and encourages big-time-jazz lovers to bring along friends who “don’t know yet they are jazz fans.” If worried about congested driving and parking, download a free metro pass to make an easier time arriving. Free rides on the metro are only available on Friday and Saturday. So come late June, get yourself into Lowertown to check out this festive, lively, musical event.
